For years I was the girl who was always active but never confident in my body. I did cheer, I lifted, I had muscle — but I always felt like it was hidden underneath stubborn fat. After studying abroad in Spain at 21, I came home at my heaviest — around 130 pounds — and just felt defeated.
That's when I realized the issue was never effort. It was structure. I was doing too much cardio, guessing with nutrition, and restarting every week instead of actually following a plan long enough for my body to respond.
Once I finally learned how to balance lifting, nutrition, recovery, and consistency, everything changed. I became the leanest, healthiest, and most confident version of myself at 104 pounds — without starving myself or doing anything extreme.
